At this class, age is no barrier, previous experience is not required, coordination is optional!
All that is needed is a good sense of fun and a body that wants to move to the music.

Tracy qualified with Medau through the EMD UK, the Exercise Movement and Dance Partnership.

Medau Movement is a stand alone, adaptable form of exercise with a strong emphasis on changing rhythms and dynamics.  Medau teaching principles can be applied to many forms of physical fitness regimes.  Taking inspiration from the natural movements of the body, each action is designed to strengthen the core and work all major muscle groups with minimal stress.  Medau delivers a flowing, challenging and enjoyable workout without being exhausting.

Medau works in rhythm with the body and its teachers work in harmony with the participants.

With no set routines, it offers unlimited class opportunities that are safe, deliver results and can be to taught to any age or ability be they mainstream or special needs.

 Medau...
  • is easy-to-follow - small steps built up through the class so everyone leaves feeling uplifted, stretched and mobilised
  • is dynamic with natural movements within your abilities and be encouraged to go 'that bit further'.
  • is progressive - every class offers something a little different each week.
  • is creative - you can rediscover the qualities of dance and movement to music.
  • will work the whole body with whole body movements and choreography.
  • will increase your steps
  • give you a cardiac workout
                                             ............and it is fun!

This is not ‘exercise for exercise sake’ nor is it just ‘playtime’; the use of apparatus actively makes your body healthier and stronger, improving hand-eye co-ordination, posture, upper-body strength and cardiovascular health to name but a few benefits, all this from a work out that you can bring your friends to!

Medau Movement has been around a good many years and has inspired many people up and down the country to move more or a regular basis; it’s even listed as an activity on This Girl Can the campaign which inspired over 2 million women in the UK to exercise more frequently.

Fun with friends is guaranteed at Medau Movement.

Class members say that 'the hour goes by really quickly'  that they 'didn't think they could get so much done in an hour session ' that their 'co ordination has improved' and it is 'great fun'.

If you fancy trying a class then please get in touch. The first class is free!
