All of a sudden increasing your daily activity is the 'in thing'. If you do not jog or go to the gym then 10,000 steps a day has become to key to fitness. But what about those of us who prefer to move the whole body, feel elegant and enjoy a sense performance as well as a physical and mental challenge?
With everyone encouraging us to get more active it is a wonder there are any couch potatoes left! That is why variety is the spice of life and finding the 'thing' that ticks your individual box is important.
I know that once you find the thing you enjoy you stick at it, I have EXTEND class members who have been coming for over 18 years and ladies at Medau who have been coming since the class opened.
You do not need someone shouting at you to 'go that bit further' when interesting choreography and well chosen music will carry you along. You do not need complicated equipment - a ball, hoop or club, even a 4 ounce bean bag works the muscles as well as the brain! It is what you do and how you do it that is important.
